Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum, Milwaukee

Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum is an elegant venue and one of my favorite locations in Milwaukee for a first look, ceremony, and/or pictures of the bride & groom because of the beautiful architecture inside and out, the gorgeous gardens and amazing backdrop of blue skies and Lake Michigan dotted with sailboats.

ready room

The bride typically has use of the large bathroom on the 2nd floor. All three of these images were taken in that space.

bridal portraits

There is a wide variety of beautiful spots in and around the building for bridal portraits.

The top and bottom left image were both taken on the upper porch just off of where the bride gets ready. This spot is really convenient because arriving guests can not see her. I have been able to take care of the girls formals out on the porch before the ceremony too which saves time.

Inside the courtyard and on the stairs heading down to the Renaissance Garden are more great places for portraits and group shots.

staircase

I love to capture a few images of the bride and her Dad as they make their way down the stairs for the ceremony.

outdoor ceremony on terrace

The terrace is the perfect place for the wedding ceremony.

Being up high allows Lake Michigan to be your backdrop.

One of the great advantages to Villa Terrace is that should there be
inclement weather The Great Hall offers a beautiful alternative to the terrace.

wedding party pictures

Villa Terrace offers so many great backdrops for your photos! There is also plenty of room on the terrace in the shade for your large wedding party and family group shots.

This amazing arial image is a must for your wedding day! This area is also great for greeting your guests after the ceremony.

This shady tunnel is a romantic area of the Renaissance Garden.

The views of the building and the Scaletta d’Aqua from the Renaissance Garden are an exquisite backdrop for your photos.
